Payment Schedule for multi-day experiences
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full payment is due at the time of registration to reserve your place on the trip.
The full balance is due 30 days prior to the starting date of your trip.
If you would like to register for a trip that is less than 30 days away you can do so, space permitting, by paying the full balance at the time of registration.
Cancellation Policy for multi-day experiences
Our Cancellation and Early Departure Policies are based on investment in staff, training, course planning, and food and equipment purchases in preparation for your trip. In addition, short notice cancellations often prevent others from attending. In order to protect our investment or lost revenue, we retain a portion of the full payment according to the following Cancellation Schedule:
• 30+ days prior to trip = registration fee (25% of full payment) retained
• 8-29 days prior to trip = 50% of full payment retained
• <8 days prior to trip = 100% of full payment retained
Cancellations may be made by phone but must be confirmed in writing.
Group size minimums
A group that is too small will not provide the community dynamic that is so key to a Renewal in the Wilderness experience. We reserve the right to cancel a trip if enrollment is insufficient. Should this happen, we will refund* all tuition and fees, or transfer you to an alternate trip according to your availability.
Early Departure Policy for multi-day experiences
Once your trip begins there are no refunds for voluntary withdrawal, withdrawal for motivational reasons, or for "no show." If a medical or family emergency prevents you from completing your trip, you may receive pro-rated credit towards the cost of a future trip.
Credited fees from Early Departure must be used within 1 year of the original trip starting date or will be forfeit to Renewal in the Wilderness.
Transfer Policy for multi-day experiences
Once you are registered for a trip you may transfer the fees paid to registration for another trip, subject to availability, without any additional expense as long as the transfer is made at least 30 days prior to your original trip's starting date. If you would like to transfer less than 30 days before the start of your original trip we’ll do our best to accommodate, but cannot make any guarantees.
Renewal in the Wilderness is not responsible for any penalties participants may incur due to trip changes, trip cancellation, or denial of admission due to medical problems.
Buying trip insurance from a travel insurance provider is highly recommended.
Renewal in the Wilderness cancellations
In our commitment to safely manage the risk inherent to wilderness travel and to provide a dynamic and satisfying experience: Renewal in the Wilderness reserves the right to cancel trips or cut trips short according to our guide’s discretion. If Renewal in the Wilderness cancels a trip prior to its start date you will receive a refund* of the fees paid. If Renewal in the Wilderness cuts a trip short we will pro-rate the cost of the days cut from the trip and you will have the option to receive that amount as a refund* or to put that amount toward a future Renewal in the Wilderness experience.
*Refunds of payments made by credit card are subject to a 3% processing fee.
