Wild River Wilderness Backpack & Androscoggin River Paddle (NH/Maine)

This annual trip begins with a three day/two night backpacking trip in the Wild River Wilderness of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. We will meet at the Wild River trailhead near the Wild River Campground on Thursday morning at 10am and follow trails approximately 2 miles to the Blue Brook Tentsite for camping the first night. Friday we will backpack around 9 miles along a ridge with beautiful views to the Spruce Brook tentsite. Saturday, we will hike out the final portion of the loop approximately 3 miles, set up camp at a campground on the Androscoggin River near Bethel, Maine, and then head out for an afternoon of canoeing on the Androscoggin River. We will enjoy fellowship that evening at a local brewery and wake up refreshed and ready to pack up and head home on Sunday. Previous backpacking or paddling experience isn’t necessary, but it is important that participants be in good condition to navigate the terrain and elevation gains while carrying personal and group gear. Registration is required at
